Die Casting Basic Design features

The components contain several design features, so it requires:

• parting line and side core.

• Design and fabrication of tool should be economical with lesser lead time.

• The optimum gate location, temperature distribution, fill time, air traps, weld lines etc.

• The design exercise therefore considers manufacturability, assembly and validation before planning manufacturing.

Therefore the tool should have a long life, delivering products with high degrees of geometric stability, reliability and consistency through its life. This will be followed by the manufacturing of the tool, providing trails on production component.
